Chapter (A-4) . .. ... Egyptian Turnabout
Welcome to the “Press On Moment”.
This is Victor Cheung.
Life itself is a message.
Through these few minutes,
may you crisscross the spiritual journey of
this writer’s heart to press on.
Chapter (A-4) . .. ... Egyptian Turnabout
Ideal Route
After the first Passover,
Moses led 2.5 million Israelites to the promised land in Canaan.
Going north to cross the Philistines border was the shortest route.
But this would likely cause conflicts.
Knowing their lack of military experience as long-time slaves,
God led them south with a big turnabout
from the Nile’s delta region
to the geographically dead-end of Red Sea (aka Sea of Reeds).
Pillar of Cloud and Fire
God’s navigation was a pillar of cloud and fire
that shields the hot sun in day time
and protects them from enemy at night,
so they can walk on dry seabed to cross the Red Sea.
The Egyptian army’s chariots were stuck in the mud and drown, all within God’s plan.
Sea and Dry Land
Without this Egyptian turnabout experience,
the Israelites would not have witnessed God’s power and protection.
The ideal path needs not be straight.
Life’s ups and downs have enriched our valuable experience walking with God.
“Who among the gods is like you, LORD?
Who is like you
-- majestic in holiness, awesome in glory, working wonders?” ~ (Exodus 15:11)

Thank you for listening to the “Press On Moment”.
Please remember,
The first step toward the heavenly journey is to
ask the God-glorifying Holy Spirit to fill us daily in our hearts,
so we can have this attitude
which is in Christ Jesus.
😄 Until next time, good bye!
