Chapter (B-7) . .. ...  Prayerfully Trusting

Welcome to the “Press On Moment”.

This is Victor Cheung.

Life itself is a message.

Through these few minutes,

may you crisscross the spiritual journey of

this writer’s heart to press on.

Chapter (B-7) . .. ... Prayerfully Trusting

Sinking Ship

What do you do on a sinking ship?  Answer: Pray immediately and try to survive.

Often times, you need to do both.

Demand for Santa Claus

We often view and demand God as a Santa Claus.

If God does not grant our wishes, we are thrown into a faith crisis.

This is because we misunderstood the Lord’s answer to our prayer.

Yes Answer

Yes - There is nothing more faith-inspiring than being able to

watch the Lord move the mountains to do miracles for us.

Of course, we welcome that.

No Answer

No - We must accept the fact that God says no to some of our requests,

not because He is uncaring for His children,

but because the heavenly Father will give “what is good” to those who ask.

Quite often, He doesn’t agree to things that He already knew are bad for us.  (Matthew 7:11)

Wait Answer

Wait - This answer can be difficult.

Yet some things that are good today may be changed as bad tomorrow.

God sees the eternal picture.

If He regards tomorrow’s blessing as a curse today,

He’ll withhold it until we’re ready to receive it.

He Knows the Best

Don’t be misled if God’s response isn’t what you wanted!

Instead, we should praise Him for answering our requests

in His best way.

Thank you for listening to the “Press On Moment”.

Please remember,

The first step toward the heavenly journey is to

ask the God-glorifying Holy Spirit to fill us daily in our hearts,

so we can have this attitude

which is in Christ Jesus.

😄 Until next time, good bye!
